Pantone's Colour of 2013 - EMERALD
So we've talked about Tangerine Tango as the colour of 2012. We've talked about how we thought the real colour of the year was Mint. But we haven't talked about the colour of 2013...EMERALD...according to Pantone of course. Emerald seems to be a classic colour choice, which may have something to do with Edward L. Bernays.
We know what you're thinking; who's Edward L. Bernays?
Bernays, often referred to as the father of spin, was a public relations practitioner in the early 1900s, who convinced women that green was the "it" colour, in order to help persuade them to by a brand of cigarettes that had green packaging. Even back then women were concerned about clashing.
But whether or not Bernays had an influence on green becoming a classic and fashionable colour for women, we're excited to see what this year of emerald will bring to our wardrobes, and more importantly, to our feet.

Mint
Although Pantone's told us the colour of 2012 was Tangerine Tango, we have a feeling there are tons of fashionistas out there who will disagree. Yes 2012 was over a month ago, but surely we can remember the 50 shades of Mint we saw, and that we're still seeing into the new year.

So what do you think? Are we going to keep seeing waves of mint in 2013?
